I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
How do you get the shooters to passI have a 9 year old team and the shooter will not pass the ball and thinks that scoring the goals is important instead of playing as a team and getting closer to circle.
I have been told that it is ok for WD to use their far arm, palm facing outwards across the WA, yet other coaches have questioned it as obstruction ?
Any tips on tactics for backline passes, both defensive and attack? Thanks!!
I have an U/11 GS who is passing out of the circle to C or WA to get into a better position to shoot, but in doing so, puts herself behind her opponent, blocking herself from taking the pass back. Can she pass out, then "reverse" herself back to take the pass so she doesn't end up behind her opponent, or is she likely to be penalized for potentially stepping on her opponent? Any ideas/techniques anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated. I am new to the coaching scene. Thanks

How do I teach my team to pass and then move quickly so that the opposition's defenders cannot intercept our passes.
Hi can u give me some ideas on how the shooters would feed themselves closer towards the goal. What i mean is by passing the ball in and out 2 one person and moving closer 2 the goal at the same time . Something simple for girls aged 10.
Can someone please advise me on where can I locate sound information on court systems? Thanks. Wendy
Quick feeding into circle
We are playing in n a grand final this week and the opposition has a very tall GS and holds very well. I am thinking of getting my defences to double team her but wanting to know best way to teach this & also what's the best way of stopping the GA (just getting WD & c to try & block her getting in the ring) any thoughts on best way to beat a tall shooter. The girls are 13 but played a lot of netball. Thanks
Which position is the best to leave off for u11s
What is the best way to defend the shooter who after faking a shot turns to WA or c on circle edge, passes out, takes a step nearer to the post and receives return pass either once or several times?
I like the idea of teaching set plays to stop my girls swarming the ball, but wasn't sure what set plays to use! Are there any on this site or can anyone share their favourite easy ones for 8/9 yo's
How do I get my centre to drive down the court not sideways and to the sideline when bringing the ball down the court out of defence!!!
We are playing summer comp (13 yr old girls). We have one shooter with a broken finger, and usually one other is injured or sick each week leaving us weekly with 5 players only. Which 2 positions do I not fill? Another coach told me WA and WD but I feel it just gives us both a weak attacking and a week defending team. I'm now thinking of putting the girls in attack only (GS GA WA C) with one girl in defence- GD ( and our centre covering the WD position from the other teams centre pass) This way we increase our chances of scoring from our own centre pass and still have someone defending their GA and WA from their centre pass in the hope of a intercept. Am I crazy??? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
