I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
I assistant coach a year 5 team who have horrible core strength and they can not do planks and apparently 'sit ups are too easy' and they can't do push ups. What can i do to give them more core strength??
Hi there, Can someone give me some drills/games/ideas to help my girls to attack the ball. They are not contesting the ball at all or chasing it down, they are being way too polite. Thanks
How do I get my girls to listen? I have a great u12 team and they play very good, but I would like them to learn more when I train them, but can't seem to get them to settle down and listen? any suggestions?
A am a new coach of a year 6 team. I have two girls that did not play netball last year and their level of play is not up to the rest of the team. I want to encourage them but they are either very slow and/or disinterested. When the whistle is blown it seem to take them ages to move of the line for a centre pass. The other girls are long gone. How can I light a fire and get them moving quickly? Thanks!
How to get 14yr olds putting in the effort at training? My girls start each drill with vigour, then they start cutting corners, slowing down, and it seems completely forgetting what the drill is about. We have had some stern discussions about the value of the drills and how they relate to the game etc, and they all nod their heads like they understand but their actions (or half hearted actions more like) speak volumes! I'm wondering why I'm bothering. Any suggestions??
my team always sit down and they never want to run so what do I do. we lose nearly every game and they blame the coach but its their own fault
I am wanting to assess the fitness of the players in my new team, to find a candidate for Centre. I want it to be a game so they don't know What I'm doing. Any suggestions?
How do I get one of my players to hold the ball longer? She has awesome speed and stamina on the court but she doesn't slow down to throw the ball. She is an adult. What can I do to help her?
What are some good warm up drills that could be used with a group of approximately 20-30 girls? I need to make sure they are all doing something otherwise they get distracted and lose their concentration.
I am coaching an U13s team and at training i am struggling to get them to listen and stop mucking around. Any ideas i can try?
For an assignment, I most teach some students how to play netball; however we must do the training in the Competition Season. What drills can I do that are of high intensity and also fit into the Competition Season?
They sometimes mess around and won't listen.
Im currently coaching 10 - 12 yr old girls, I need some tips on how to keep them focused on the game (stop daydreaming). They seem to "daydream" or their eyes wander when they have thrown the ball and its no longer down their end.
HI Peoples,I am helping with a team of 10 year old girls. They pickup various skills quite well but I noticed when we played another team the other day - the other team was very focused. No mucking about or getting distracted. Our team is hard to talk to them because they are constanly playing with balls, talking between each other etc.The question is how to get this disclipline in the team without being a tyrant?
Is there any ideas to make it fun and effective? Is there someone who has a nice obstacle course for me?
How do you improve your fitness as a net baller during your summer break. I know that summer holidays are meant for a break but I just want to keep up with my fitness. Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
