I was playing GS today and marked by a very tall GK. As I was watching the ball come forward, I moved to the top of the D but she didn't stay with me and remained behind me. I couldn't see her and was unsure if I should stay close to her to be aware of where I could move, or to just move where I wanted. My back was turned to her as I was facing where the ball was, should I be side on to see her in my peripheral vision but not stay with her, or should I keep marking her to hold her then come forward when appropriate? I would be grateful for any advice, thank you,
What is the best way for a Goal Keeper to defend, especially within the semi circle. ? Should they watch the ball then try to intercept any ball going to Goal Shooter or just mark up their partner?Submitted via email

I coach 11 year olds. Let's say our GK secures a rebound, pivots and looks to pass to WD who is holding her position on the circle edge (leaving no space for anyone to get in front of her).Is the WA from the other team allowed to then place her outside foot in between our WDs feet and effectively bully / push her way so that half her body is in front of our WD? How do you beat a player that is blocking/face defending an attacker who is finding it hard to get free? Particularly when they are trying to go forward into the space for the ball.
hi i jut started playing GK for a local netball team and i am struggling abit, im not sure on what i can and cant do, ie jumping and waving my arms etc plz help
Is a defence allowed to block a shooter from entering the circle with their body but not using their arms?
If a shooter, say GS, is shooting, marked by GK, is the other shooter GA allowed to stand with her arms up under the net (within a metre of GD) while the shooter prepares to take the shot, or can she only raise her arms for the rebound once the shooter has shot? Or is it obstruction GA on GD?
What makes a good netball defender? Whether it be WD, GD, GK.Also, how do you know what defending position is good for you? Right now, I am really struggling to know where I stand as a defender. Sometimes my coach puts me as WD or GK but I do not know which one I am better at.

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
