I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Can anyone suggest several backilne pass sequences to get the ball effectively to the centre third. This is for 10 year olds.
I'm a young coach who is coaching an 11A's team. I find it hard to identify/pick up on the problems within their play. How do you identify these problems in order to fix them? And what are some of these problems (like running flat-footed and release hieght of a pass)? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
I like the idea of teaching set plays to stop my girls swarming the ball, but wasn't sure what set plays to use! Are there any on this site or can anyone share their favourite easy ones for 8/9 yo's
I have a new player and we don't have a WD so I was thinking to put her into a WD.
I am a wing attack and don't now how to intercept
everytime we have a backline throw in and there is no one in the goal third free to pass to, are you allowed to throw straight to the centre third?
Can the back line throw in be bounced in the goal third but actually received in the centre third on the transverse line by the WA or GA?
Where should I position players on the court for a throw-in from the backline?
If one player of example the green team passes the ball over a third ,does the player of the other team take the ball to where the player of the other team stood while making a 'over the third' or to where he threw it.
Playing ball off post from back line pass
I am an umpire as well as a player, and I had a situation a few weeks ago that challenged my knowledge. On a centre pass. Referring to the third lines. Do the third lines form part of the centre court or are they part of the goal third. In other words at what point would GA,GD,WA and WD become off side? If their foot/feet were on the line? Same for the Centre, would she be off side if her foot/feet were on the line?
My friend coaches an under 13s team and when someone has the ball they all run for it like seagulls going for bread. The coach has told them many times to spread out and for not everyone to run to the ball at once but the girls keep doing it and they can't get the ball down the court.
Team yellowhas centre pass- but ball not touched in centre third but caught by green team in goal third. Is this a penalty as 1st pass not received in centre third or can play go on?
