I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
When the goaler is being zoned out of the goal circle what is the best way for a her to get past the Zone and into the circle?
what drill could i do to improve running into space for netball ?
Should a goalkeeper, slow on her feet and reaction time, focus on defending her opposing shooter or watch the ball for an intercept. She is having difficulty doing both at the same time. She is playing in a 9A competition and is playing goalkeeper mainly due to her size? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hi, what do people think about defences "zoning" - keeping their attacking player (GA or GS) out of the circle? I notice not many teams use this strategy. Thank you.
what are the different path ways in to netball?
what are some drills to get passer to look long and a receiver to go back to get pass? thanks
need help with a workshop/clinic (warm-up ect)
Help... I am new to coaching netball albeit have played for years. My experience in playing comes from being an attacker so trying to work with my defence, is proving tricky. The issue I have is that both my GD and GK face mark. I have tried numerous drills in training however as soon as they get in to a match, they revert back to face marking. When the ball is coming down the court, I encourage them to stay on their toes, side marking and moving in front and round the back however when the GA or the GS moves out, the face marking starts. We have had balls bounce of the backs of heads and all sorts. Does anyone have any tips? Di
They are such a good team (under 12's), with so much potential, but we struggle against the top 2 teams as their defense is amazing and my girls struggle to get free, which then really disheartens them. I'm a first time coach, so its still a learning experience for me.
What are some good warm up drills that could be used with a group of approximately 20-30 girls? I need to make sure they are all doing something otherwise they get distracted and lose their concentration.
Hi Please help me, My Daughter played GS most of the time - last year the coaches played with her on several position in field, This year she plays GA but she seems to be taking to long to come open or she is to fast, and the defenders picks up on her movements and it's position overturned... How can I help her with timing?
Can anyone suggest a drill to practise holding defence in circle for lob pass?
In a netball game, can you pass the netball backwards?
The best way to teach young girls to run forward to the ball rather than standing there waiting for it and calling for it
If a GA received a pass in the circle but wasnt to edge closer to the goal using the C or WA to quickly pass to ball back and forth, and they try to edge towards the goal, but as they let go of the ball GD stands behind them, does GD have to move as Ga backs into them?
Hi guys,I’m a small/medium sized goal shooter and I struggle to get free and get the ball when defenders are taller than me. What can I do to improve? Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
If the defender has her 3ft against the shooter and the shooter then takes a step back is the defender allowed to move in a bit or stay where they are? Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Hi I coach a great team of under 9s and when we do a driving drill we start with "pitter patter feet" (like a very fast low jog on spot) then when i say GO they drive forward. However a lot of them step back with their foot then drive forward. Any tricks out there to get just going forward? Is it just the foot they start on like the strong foot? Or something else?
