How can a coach teach accuracy in goal shooting? Our team has 40 odd shots for goal in a game but the most we have scored is 14!
How does a coach keep training sessions fun, complex, educational and entertaining enough to keep the older girls interested and for the younger girls to keep up? And some training sessions have less than 10 girls (easy to handle) and some can have maybe over 30. Only ONE of these teams (a group of 9) are mine and the other 20-odd are from at least 4 other teams in the club.
How does a defender know where to judge her 3 foot defensive stance when shooters opt for a simultaneous split landing?

They are always all over the place (we do practice channels) and really struggle to get free - they run a bit and then just stop to wait for the ball. My year 6 girls are experimenting with stepping in to shoot a goal. I'm finding this to be a disadvantage as they are unbalanced on one foot and therefore inaccurate. The defender is not required to step back, keeping 3 feet from the grounded foot so the shot is put up into the defenders hand. I am a centre court player so I'm not sure what advice to give.

I need some clarification please. In the goal circle if GS steps in towards the goal post and lifts her grounded foot, where does the defender defend from if the shooter stepped in before the defender lifted her arms? Is the 3ft from where her grounded foot was or where she stepped in to?

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
