I need some drills to help 8-10 year olds with footwork and ball skills what would you suggest
How do you teach GK and GD to talk? I know I need to teach my 14yr olds to communicate in the circle, but what exactly should they be saying? And how do I teach them to switch partners in the circle when they need to rather than getting caught out focussing too much on one player? They're an awesome pair, and I think if we can address these two issues, they will be scary good. Thanks for any help. Heather.
I have 10 players and need to roster them equally, does anyone have a formula
Hi Please help me, My Daughter played GS most of the time - last year the coaches played with her on several position in field, This year she plays GA but she seems to be taking to long to come open or she is to fast, and the defenders picks up on her movements and it's position overturned... hi everyone, I coach an under 9 netball team. As usual we have a variety of skill levels in the team. On Saturday, we lost by a lot. That didn't trouble me - it was the attitude of a few girls that really disappointed me. They gave up. They stopped running, staying with (or even near) their opponent, stood still with their hands by their sides and refused to play.AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I sat them down after the game and said that I don't care about the score board, I care about your effort. When you stop trying you let the whole team down. When you look like you can't be bothered, that leaves me feeling like I can't be bothered either!Ok, what should have I done? help please oh learned coach friends! Thanks, Melissa
Do you have to stay 3 feet away from the person you are guarding???Let's say you are a Goal defense and you have a goal attacker,do you have to stay 3 feet away or can you be close to them to guard.
I am new to coaching this year and have a couple of girls who struggle to catch the ball despite 3 yrs of playing. One is quite scared and the other does not have good gross motor skills. Any suggestions on drills or games to improve these?
9 players - 4 girls off half a game each week or 2 players off per quarter? I coach a 10 yrs team in a very close A grade competition. There are 9 players therefore 2 reserves are needed each quarter. Is it best to have 4 girls off for half a game each week, less disruption to team but best players are then off for half a game - girls are off every second week, or 2 girls off each quarter, more disruption but best players are only off for quarter of a game, girls are off every week. I am required to give all players equal time on the court throughout the season. Thank you.
When two players on the same team catch the ball simultaneously, and one player releases the ball, what should the umpires decision be? Should it be "Held ball", or should play continue?
I am coaching an under 9As netball team in their first year of competition. I have 6 experienced players and 3 new players who have never played before. There are 9 in the team so there will always be 2 reserves. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or advice as to how to organise/rotate the players each week so they each have their turn off. The girls need to have equal time on the court. I also don't want to disrupt their teamwork and want to keep the team as strong as possible at all times. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
