Improving speed and normal aggression

Improving speed and normal aggression

I have u13 players that play slightly slower and less aggressive than expected. They can control the ball fine but they lack speed and normal soccer aggression during games. How can I help improve speed and aggression? Are there drills that are geared towards these two areas that need improvement? Thanks,

its hard to increase players tempo but one of the things I would do is start by making players press when passing so for instance having the team in a circle and then 2 people in the middle closing the ball down whilst they pass it around them but add factors in to make it harder like only having 1 touch so they cant control it they have to pass it straight away and they could also work in pairs where one person has the ball the other person is a defender an the person with the ball has to shield or dribble the ball away from the defender and the defender has to try and tackle them and if he does they swap roles
