How do I develop lesson plan for coaching width in attacking
First of all, are you playing 2 or 3 forwards? If you are playing 2 then start with two cones where you want your fowards to start and place two cones where you want your forwards to finish or cross. have them start and pass the ball all the way across the pitch to one another 3 or 4 times before reaching the end cone. Make certain that they are leading their teammate with the ball. Once they reach the end cone, Then have them sprint back to the starting cone... this helps develop the depth perception and weight on the pass needed to cross the field. If you are playing with 3 forwards use the same drill except with three cones and the pass is initiated from the center to one of the outside(wings)/forwards. Who then pass/cross the entire pitch to the other wing/forward. Make them pass three or four times from the outside before reaching the end cones. I hope that this helps.
