best way to mark shooter who feeds right in?

What's the best way to mark shooter who feeds right in or steps in?  Shooter passes back and forth to feeders, then if you come aroun,  she steps in.    Being on side allows her to step in.  If she steps in & I've got my 3ft and she touches me, is this a contact on her part?

fast feeding is always very difficult to defend.  you can only defend it if you are faster on your feet that she is on her turn pass split catch.  if you have 3 ft and she does this, and she splits between your feet, then its your contact.  (i was amazed at that one...the diamonds do this very well).  the only way to have a chance of stopping it, is to block the split with your feet.  so as she turns you can go back to hard on defence, deeping your feet together.  but it is very tough.  the other option you have is to actually turn your back to her and block her.  you do have to give her room to shoot, but you dont have to be 3 ft as long as your arms are not up.  good luck with it.

With this type of quick feed and footwork you need to sacrifice the intercept/tip for the pass in and focus on keeping on the body behind your player to block her as far out as you can with a narrow base.  Once she has received the pass in stay close behind in passive but ready position and only get your distance and attempt to defend when you are sure she is going to shoot hopefully from further out than she would like.  If you can manager to stop the split/step in with your feet a couple of times it will more than likely upset her enough to not rely on the manouvre all the time.  Be ready for a few bruises on your shins though.  You do not have to give her space to step in as long as your are in the space first BEFORE she has COMMITTED to that same space. If she contacts you in trying to do so hopefully the umpire will penalise the right player for contact.  Your C & WD need to keep pressure on the passing in and out as her feeders have to be very reliable to make it work.
