What does a session on closing down-chop and block refer to?
hi Kirsty...
I vaguely remember/think "chop" refers to the slowing down strides that one takes at the end of the closing down period (when defending).
i.e. you move quickly towards the player with the ball, normally on an arc (channelling / directing the player into the space you want them in), but have to slow down quckly, prior to tackling (the "block").
Hope that helps (and that I'm correct)!
Cheers,
Gary
