How to teach the "slider" ?

I would like to teach some of my Ladies the 'slider' for next Season. Is there a step by step guide, or Master Class I could access. Thx. :-)

Hi Lawrie, we put this question out on our Facebook page, and a number of coaches seemed rather confused as to what you meant by the 'slider'. Could you go into more details perhaps?

Thanks!

This is a disguised pass sharply angled to the right off the right (back) foot. There are only two YouTube videos that I can find, but they are not good for teaching purposes. When I am back Home & not on a mobile connection I will try to post a link.

Ball fairly close to body, pick the ball up on the grip, and have a very sharp wrist break in order to send the ball off the stick at pace.

Body low, wide base, hands very slightly apart, hands at ankle level to perform skill.

Thanks for replying Fi Drinkall.

The key to the slider is a process not unlike teaching drag flicking. so if you know about the drag flick process you should be ok with it

Plenty wrists! Makes sure the ball is level with the back foot also!!
