recognise the space | 3 Grass roots

recognise the space:

8 players per court, 4 players as feeders and 4 players as returnees. Change roles after a set time (i.e. 3 minutes).

Feeders: Throw the ball with lots of height over the net in the direction of the player. The receiving player has to be in the middle of the court.

Receiving players: Catch the ball and roll it back under the net to the player that did not have the ball before the practice started. Player should go to the back of the queue after each time.

Defensive Dig and Push Drill over the net | MVT:FOREARM PASS

Defensive Dig and Push Drill over the net:

A defensive dig before a push into the air and then sets across the net to player 2.

Jumping to Spike | 3 Grass roots

Jumping to Spike:

Players move towards the net as the coach feeds the ball up.

Players must position themselves close to the net and aim to catch the ball at the peak height, with both arms up in the air.

Passing/Throwing Styles | VST:CATCH IN DIG POSITION

Passing/Throwing Styles:

Every pair or every 4 have a ball. Pass the ball across the net with partner catching. Do the same with outstretched arms or underhand right foot forward.

NOTE: If there are an odd number of players, use a triangle.
