Ultimate: Fake Out!

• Split into groups of 4 and spread out the players evenly across the width of the playing area (for example, 4 players 2m apart from each other forming a line 6m long)
• Start with all discs on one side of the field. Teams pass the disc along the line to the far side, and back again.
• The slowest team is eliminated and must sit down. Keep going until there is a winning team.
• If a pass is not caught then it must be repeated

• Form groups of three
• One player stands in front of the thrower as the "screen"; the thrower then pivots out to the side so they can see the receiver
• Screens should stand still with arms by their sides
• Throw the disc.
• The thrower then runs to the person who caught the disc, stands in front of them to be the "screen".
• Repeat this process until everyone is comfortable with the reason for pivoting

Practice moving from the ‘Backhand with pivot’ position to the ‘Forehand with pivot’ position smoothly

1. Ensure that you are balanced throughout the movement
2. Try to avoid putting your foot down in the middle; it should take a single step to perform this move.
3. When learning this movement, take a slight pause in the final position before releasing the disc to ensure that you are balanced

• Split into groups of 3
• One disc per group
• Form a triangle, 5 metres from each athlete
• Players must fake the pass anticlockwise to one partner, and then use the forehand throw to the other partner
