DESCRIPTION

The player lays on the ground while keeping legs on gymnastic ball. The player performs regular crunches making sure that the whole motion uses only core muscles.

COACHING POINTS

Modern tennis is based on power so it is important to try to develop powerful strokes. Serve, return and forehand come to mind because these 3 strokes provide the best opportunities to dominate the opponent. There are 2 ways to improve power: by working on technical aspects or by getting stronger physically. Core muscles are used in all strokes in tennis so players should do core exercises regularly to make sure that they are ready for tennis demands.
