DESCRIPTION

  • Player performs a regular lunge. 
  • After lowering their body, the player turns and touches the back heel with their hand. 
  • Repeat action, alternating sides.

COACHING POINTS

  • This drill will help to strengthen the legs and also help to maintain balance in low position. 
  • This also imitates the movement that a player makes while hitting low volleys.
  • By performing this drill, the player prepares themselves for what is required while playing at the net and also improves body strength which has a positive impact on injury prevention.
