Positioning is key for goalkeepers to be able to make saves. For goalkeepers to be in the correct position, quick and efficient movement is required. Here we have 5 drills which all focus on movement and getting in position quickly to make saves.
What's in the session?
This session is focused on goalkeepers quick movement and the ability to get into a set position to make a save as quickly as possible.
Players will understand the importance of getting into position early to make the save. They will understand the movement techniques necessary to get into position.
We will look at movement across the box and goal line, awareness to avoid other players when getting into position and the correct techniques needed to get across the goal at speed.
