Players stay in groups of 3 with 1 ball.
2 players stand in the grid and 1 player outside with the ball.
The players inside the grid alternate to get free from each other to receive the ball from the player on the outside.
Set an allotted period of time for players to complete the pass (ticking clock).
Try to get players to drive onto the ball showing a change of pace and change of direction to beat the defender to receive the ball.
Encourage players to re-offer for the ball if they are unsuccessful in the first instance.
Players should be pushing off their outside foot to change direction - shoulder should drop in order to fake a movement.

This session works on players attacking capabilities including speed, agility and decision making skills.
Split players into 4s inside a coned area. The attackers (white) start with the ball on the outside of the playing area.
To begin with White 2 feints a movement one way and then sprints in opposite the direction (to begin with use a passive defender).
After white 1 has passed the ball, she then has to do a feint dodge and run in opposite direction to receive the ball.
Try to get 3 / 5 passes in a row before possession changes.
Split your players into 3s and select 2 lines on the court (ideally getting players to work within a third of the court each).
On the whistle the attacker (white) sprints to either line. The attacker should use a sudden change of direction and sprint to receive the ball from the feeder, away from the defender who is marking them.
Feeder 1 has the ball. Worker runs out towards a cone, changes direction and sprints to receive a pass from the feeder.
Feeder 1 passes the ball to 2. As she turns, player 3 has dodged to get free from her defence (player 4). Repeat the practice with player 1 now becoming the defender and 2the attacker
Progression:- When play reverses and player 4 begins with the ball, player 2 beginsher move assoons as player 4 is ready to pass.
Set up a triangle with cones. 2 players are attackers, 2 are defenders. Attacker starts on the top of the triangle and the other starts on one of the bottom corners. They are defended by 2 defenders the whole time. The person at the top of the triangle starts with the ball, passes to the other attacker and runs into the triangle to receive the ball back. Again they pass to the other attacker and cross the bottom line of the triangle to be outside of the triangle. They receive the ball back again and the other attacker runs to take their space at the top of the triangle. The attacker behind the line passes the ball to the new top attacker, takes one of the bottom corner spaces and the drill repeats.
Set up a triangle of attackers (3m apart) with a defender in the middle of them. The person at the top of the triangle starts with the ball, passes to one of the other attackers and runs into the triangle to receive the ball back. They then pass again to either attacker and cross the bottom line of the triangle to be outside of the triangle. They receive the ball back again and the first attacker they passed to runs to take their space at the top of the triangle. The attacker behind the line passes the ball to the new top attacker, takes the free space and the drill repeats.
i 4s 1 ball. 2 feeders with the ball. GS and GK in the circle GS has to get free to receive the ball and if she feels she is in a shooting position she can take the shot or she feeds the ball back to the other feeder.(the one that did not pass the original ball).
Split group into 3 equal teams. Ideally 6 per team. 1 team is the attackers, 1 team are defenders, 1 team is resting off the court. Split court in half. Half of the defence and attack are restricted to defending half of court while the rest of the players are restricted to attacking half of the court. 1 A starts with the ball on the baseline. Attackers have 5 minutes to get the ball to the other end of the court and score as many times as they can. If the ball is tipped, intercepted or dropped the ball is taken back to the start. After 5 minutes, defenders become attackers, attackers come off to rest, resting team become defenders.
The feeders are positioned adjacent to one another, instead of opposite - with an attacker and defender inside the square. Within the square, there will be 2 defenders and 1 attacker. The attacker can offload to either feeder. However, if the attacker cannot get free within 3 seconds OR the attacker is holding the side of the free feeder - the ball can swing to the free feeder. The ball can only be swung once, at which point it must be passed to the attacker. The attacker must still try to get free each time for the first feed. The practice allows the attacker to work on a 2 on 1 situation.

If the shooter cannot get free within 3 seconds OR the attacker is holding the side of the free feeder - the ball can swing to the free feeder. The ball can only be swung once, at which point it must be passed to the shooter. The shooter must still try to get free each time for the first feed. Once the shooter has receieved the ball they can put up a shot.
