*AUDIO DISCRIPTION ON*
Set up: 1 ball, one third space, 1 feeder in between 2 lines of partners.
Two players to drive out straight from baseline to top of the circle (approx.) they turn and drive out on a V to the side channels where the feeder passes ball to one of the drivers.
The driving player who did not receive the ball is to cut back to the top of the circle (middle channel) and receive pass from their partner.
The partner now without the ball cuts back into the middle channel to receive a straight pass from their partner.
Ball is returned to stationary feeding player.
Try naming channels 1, 2,3 or right, middle, left. There is potential to link in special positions for more advanced players. Emphasise confidence in letting the ball go, pass and drive with strength and confidence.
Set up: one third space, one ball between two, cones (one between two).
One partner to be standing on the third line with the ball facing the baseline.
Other partner starts on the baseline, drives out to cone (about halfway down the third), turns and drives back to the baseline. Turns again and accelerates to partner who is holding the ball.
Play should recieve pass before the cone.
*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON*
Set up: 1 ball, one third space, 1 feeder in between 2 lines of players in partners.
Feeder sends ball into open court space.
Players contest for the loose ball. Player who does not receive the ball becomes the defender. Defender gets three feet and arms over the ball.
Player with the ball passes back to feeder.
Players work in pairs with 1 ball, standing 2 metres apart.
*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON* 2 feeders with a ball each Worker runs in to one feeder for a short ball drop and return They then drive out on the angle for a long pass from the other feeder Worker then drives in to the same feeder and gets a short ball drop and then a long pass from the other feeder Worker to receive 8 passes and then rotate feeders and workers
*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON* Groups of 3 2 feeders with a ball each Working player runs side to side receiving the ball alternately and returning to the feeder. 8 reps and rotate feeders and workers.
Two players stand two meters apart. The catching player must keep both feet on floor whilst the feeder passes the ball to them to the extremes of their reach (right hand side/left hand side and above their head).
Player Step up the court and with each step they move the ball between the legs.
*AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON* 8+ players in 2 teams/lines facing the wall. Each player at the front of the line has a ball and throws it against the wall, the rotates out for the player behind them in the line to receive the ball. Continue through the line.
Set up: 2 lines of players in partners set up across from each other with one ball per partner. Players are to pass to each other in their partners. The 2 players at the far end (donât have a ball) begin weaving in and out of players down their own side until they get to the opposite end. Players who have just weaved call for a ball from the far end to get passed to them. The player and the partner who are now at the far end without the ball begin to weave down themselves.
4 players, 3 balls. 1 player without the ball receives the ball from one of the players and returns it as quickly as possible. Then the second player throws their ball and the player in the middle has to return the ball etc. (chest, shoulder, bounce, overhead passes alternated.)Vary the length of the pass.
Facing the wall, at shoulder height players pass the ball continuously against the wall. Start 2 feet away from the wall and as players become more confident they can start to move away from the wall.
Good fundamental skills in partners. Any number of player can take part, one ball between 2 and wall space. You can get creative with rotational ideas but here are some: 1. Right hand wall taps. 2. Left hand wall taps 3. Overhead with two hands 4. Chest passes 5. Figure of 8 and 2 passes 6. Around your partner 7. Pass behind your back
Unlimited number of players, 1 ball between 2. Examples of movements you could use: Crunch and pass V sit overhead pass Little feet and chest pass Bicycle legs and pass
2x groups of 5+ players 1 ball 1/3 space One team to set up in a circle. Other team to line up one behind eachother. Team in the circle passes ball around eachother while one person from the other team runs around the outside of the circle. Running players run around once or twice. Passing players count how mayn time the balls made a complete circle. Teams swap over and try to beat the opposing team.
