DESCRIPTION

Set out 6 cones in grid 10 by 10 metres
The practice is to run with the ball to the 1st cone were the player lifts up the ball into space over a pretend stick (you could put a stick on the floor)
Then the player should regain control of the ball move their feet round and pass the ball across to the other side.

COACHING POINTS

To get the ball on the forhand to pass the player should use the reverse stick to pull the ball back and overtake the ball with their feet to then face step and pass the ball to the next player.
To receive the ball the player can receive the ball on the forhand or with the reverse before moving of and repeating the drill.

  • to advance the practice try to get the reciving players to start 5 m away from the start cone and time their run so they receive the ballon the move.
