Basketball: Defensive Conditioning - Jump, touch, turn and sprint

DESCRIPTION

Players stand on each side of the hoop.

On the coach's whistle they will jump and touch the backboard 5 times, before then turning and sprint back on defence.

COACHING POINTS

  • Reaction time - We want players exploding back up after they land on the floor
  • Turn and sprint after the jumps - Focus on good running form and efficient movement
  • Don't bring feet together on defensive slide
