Watch the setter and time your run, jump before you hit the ball (hitting a ball that's straight above your head is a lot harder than when it's in front of you) Point to the ball with your weaker hand and draw your hitting hand back beside your ear. Strike the ball down with the heel of your hand. Remember to follow through - pointing at where you want the ball to go.
