DESCRIPTION

Put three cones in a triangle with 5-10 metres between each cone and another cone five metres in front of the triangle. Split players into pairs, one working and one serving the ball. The working player starts at the back cone and the drill starts when server plays the ball to the cone to the right of the working player. The worker will run to receive the ball and return it to the server, running back around the top cone to the far cone where the play is repeated for a minute. The players will then swap roles, this will occur a total of three times.

COACHING POINTS

Keep your head up and stay alert of surroundings in order to receive and play the ball back to the server. be aware of the strength you pass the ball back, there's no need to boot it but you don't want to make a soft pass that won't make the server. run backwards from receiving the ball to the middle one to make change of direction easier.
