Vava K Coach, Canada

DESCRIPTION

- Use circles on the court as a guide for players to "break the read line" if possible. If not set up 4 cones in a diamond pattern. - A passes the ball to D upon making eye/verbal contact - D moves in for the catch and lands on purpose in a stutter step to establish pivot foot - A follows pass to set up as defender and chooses to attack the open foot (one that can move on a pivot) to force an open step "attack the back" motion - D reads the defender and drives to "attack the back" by using one power dribble to open up the cross step motion possibility - D performs proper cross step pivot and drives powerfully to step past the cone, then dribbles backward into the starting point position - Roles now reverse and D passes the ball to A while using the same pivot foot action to step into the pass
