SPORTPLAN
- BUILDING CHAMPIONS
Sportplan presented their new network
package for School Sports Partnerships at the
British Council World Champions conference. The
response from the delegates at the conference
was very warm. The network package is ideal for
managing and sourcing the teaching materials used
through out the many schools in Sports College
Groups and/or Partnerships. Sportplan currently
have 6 School Sports partnerships using the system
to guide and monitor good practice in their schools.
More are due to come online in the New Year.
IT SUPPORT FOR JAE
The Government’s new Junior Athlete Education
programme for Schools and Sports Colleges requires
accurate monitoring of young peoples time and
progress. Managing their own personal time and
allocating time to competition and training around
an already busy academic calendar is not an easy
task. Teachers already using Sportplan's Online
Training Log books are impressed with the system.
An Education official has recently stated, "Sportplan's
Online Training Log Books are an ideal solution
for the IT gap currently in the JAE programme."
The system allows individual athletes to keep
an accurate online diary of training and sporting
events. It works as a link to mentors, parents
and coaches, matching the 'Team You' support model.
It includes easy communication tools and training
resources. For further information contact Sportplan
on 01444 444 777.

"In line with the Club's objectives
to provide the most qualified and supported rugby
coaches for our Youth section, Windsor Rugby has
invested in access for 32 coaches to Sportplan.
This is a web-based service for coaches to source
coaching plans to suit their age group and covers
all facets of the game. "
Windsor Rugby Club, www.windsorrugby.info
Windsor Rugby Club are using a Club network model
to manage training materials throughout their
club. A Club Network is an annual corporate package
which includes the extensive Sportplan Libraries
as well as other extra materials. It also gives
each coach a personal account with diary to plan
the year and a personal and shared online file
system to manage resources and share training
information in the club environment. Senior coaches
can upload materials from their hard disk as well
view other coaches diaries to mentor them and
monitor the standard of training.
