New Sportplan - First Look

After nearly 10 months development we are pleased to take the wraps off New Sportplan. If you haven't already been invited to try the new site, check out the video below.

To start again with a blank piece of paper after 10 years incremental development is as scary, as it is liberating. Being able to unveil our new webapp today makes it all worth it.... and there is much more to come.

What does this means from a techie/geek perspective:
Having spent the last 10 years developing the Sportplan Online Library, we have seen huge changes to our database and in the website technologies available and have attempted to embrace these advances to create a better product for our users.

Finally we had to say, enough is enough, too many sticky plasters. We started from scratch, every line of code has been re-written, to create a WebApp that is ready for today's internet.

  • Great new social tools - to help coaches get more from Sportplan
  • Loading content is up to 10x faster than previously.

We have spent 4 months in the closing stages of development user testing, but I am sure there are still things we missed, so if you see something, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Today we are officially out of BETA testing and the new site is live to all users on mobile, tablets and modern internet browsers, plus we have some great new features still to come.
