An Aussie playing 1:3:3:3 sacrilege !

Do you mean you are playing with three in midfield and three up front with a back four. Are those back four playing three as man markers and a dedicated sweeper or are the central defenders sharing the marking and sweepig roles?

What is the role of your centre midfield player. A freer role as in Europe playing at times as a support forward or a traditional back of the gap Aussie Centre half? Two attacking midfield players (RM and LM) or two holders to balance the free role at centre midfield?

Australian players are brought up zoning and reading play rather than in marking man to man this is because the Aussie game is based on 2 v 1 rather than 1 v 1 (Holland).

What has motivated the change to this formation?
