DESCRIPTION


Coach feeds live ball to Player who backhand returns

The coach then lays a cross court for the player who hits the ball at a target close to the baseline

    Backhand Deep / short | Backhand Drills

    Backhand Deep / short:

    Coach is stationed at position 2 while players start off forehand alley corner moves and executes first shot near middle baseline and second shot mid-court short ball.

    Backhand Lateral with direction:

    Live ball Drill
    Coach feeds from position 1.
    Players start off in forehand doubles alley and execute shots with direction. player has to to hit the first ball back to the coach to then hit the second shot down the line.

    Backhand Drills
    Attacking forehands on the move | Forehand Drills

    Attacking forehands on the move:

    Coach feeds three balls per player from the basket.

    Players should aim to hit the targets (as in diagram - can use cones to mark out targets).

    The aim is to encourage players to progressively attack on the move.

    Approach and Close | Attacking

    Approach and Close:


    The coach feeds into the service area.
    -Before the coach feeds Player 1 has to nominate the corner into which they hit their approach shot.
    -Player 1 plays an approach shot Player 2 has to hit down the line, Player 2 then finishes the rally at the net.
