Player 1 passes the ball wide of the cone to player 2.

Player 2 has to try and play the ball onto the cone with their 1st touch

Goals, Goals, Goals!:

Set up three lines of three across the pitch.

The players on the half way line start with the ball and pass up to player 2's feet. Player 2 controls the ball and turns (where possible with just one touch) and plays a one-two (wall pass) with player 3.

Upon receiving the return pass player 2 shoots first time.

Keep ball and kick theirs:

For the first part of this drill put your team into 3s and give them one ball per group.

Staying inside the grid players must pass between themselves, never standing still, working their way all around the area.

Once your players have worked like this for a few minutes you can now add a tackling element into this drill.

Players must continue to work the ball around the grid, constantly moving but they must now also try to kick the other team's balls out of the area.

The last team in possession of their own ball is the winner.

Instep Pass:

Players start 10 metres apart in 2 lines facing each other.

1 ball per pair. Get the players passing to each other using the instep pass.

Left To Right pass | Passing and Receiving

Left To Right pass:

Using a square 5x5m, players in pairs run with the ball along one side and pass the ball from left to right by pulling the ball back and moving their feet around the ball to pass.

Get players to use both their weaker and stronger feet to pass.
