DESCRIPTION

There are 4 groups, in a square shape, with even numbers in each corner
Start of slow, getting your participants to walk through it
You can then make it harder by increasing the speed and decreasing the size of the square

COACHING POINTS

Pass through the square as quickly as possible, players waiting must be aware of the ‘trigger’ player reaching their side to allow them to go
Encourage players to change direction using the whole square to avoid crashing, even stopping entirely and going again
Scan for other players around to ensure you don’t bump into them

Floor Is Lava:

Form a sqaure with players evenly split across the four corners
Working diagnally players must look to dribble across, avoiding those also working across the square
The more space they have the bigger toucher they can take

Dribbling

Degree Turn on Spot:

Dribble the ball 3 metres and turn 180 degrees. Attack the space left behind.

Co ordination

Slalom dribble:

Players dribble the ball in and out of the sticks, running around the outer cones before turning sharply back in and dribbling through the next pair of sticks.

Agility

Suicides - Speed Endurance:

Set up to the side, using the pitch markings as an indicator of where to place your cones (on the touchline, in line with the 6 yard box, penalty spot and baseline).

On hearing your whistle players sprint as fast as they can to the first line and touch the ground with their hand before quickly changing direction and running back to the touchline.

Repeat to the next line.

Finish the suicide by running as fast as you can to the furthest cone, touch the line and run back to your original starting point.
