DESCRIPTION

In tegenstelling tot de normale corner nemen de centrale schutter en een extra speler nu plaats buiten de cirkel.

Het specifieke van deze corner is dat het team de schijn wekt de corner centraal te stoppen en te slaan, maar de bal door laat lopen en vervolgens op de rechtsvoor speelt. Deze gaat de cirkel binnen, speelt zo nodig de verdediger uit, maakt daarmee ruimte voor de andere aanvallers en probeert te scoren of geeft af.

COACHING POINTS

  • Ensure the stopper looks like they are going to stop the ball.
  • Make sure that the ball travels 5 yards outside of the circle - this means that normal open play rules apply i.e. the ball does not need to hit the backboard or be stopped.
  • Make sure that Blue 4 takes the ball into the circle to draw the defence out and create space for the other attackers.
