Field is broken down to 3 Channels. Left to right- 1 2 3 Playmaker or coach will give a direction based on the numer they call. No. 1 = Left Channel No. 2 = Middle Channel No.3 = Right Channel The call will determine to which part of the field the team must try to get to. Progression: Playmaker will call a tackle number + Channel Number and the team has x amount of tackles to get to the chosen position. e.g. Playmaker calls "43", that means 4 tackles to get to Channel 3. Playmakers calls "21", That means the team has 2 tackles to get to Channel 1 Playmaker calls "32" = 3 tackles to get to or play in Channel 2 etc.
Coaches relly on playmaker to decide on direction, otherwise the coach can make a call on which channel they would like to target during that set/period of the game.
