
Short pass to player, followed by overlap. Player commits defender before laying off for kicker at corner of box. Shot from edge, or if no pressure can advance Players in the middle make back-post runs in order to make room for shot and also to get any rebounds. Player on edge ready for short clearances and/or extra pass if press comes befoe shot can be made.
Short must be done early, with only 0/1 defenders present. If 2 defenders come out- play is changed to another corner routine. Corner taker decides on play. Taker and short player must be creative and learn to use defenders positioning as a tool. If defender anticipates pass to edge of box, players can advance down the line towards goal with either shot or cross from close range. Shots should be aimed towards back post area but shot taker can again use postioning as a tool- use front post if area is clear or back post is too congested.
